Central Asian countries intend to determine water and energy balance

The countries of Central Asia intend to determine the water and energy balance. Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, announced at a press conference.

According to him, negotiations are underway at the level of presidents and governments to approve the water, energy and food balances.

«We, the countries of Central Asia, will be able to provide ourselves with electricity and food. Now, within the framework of the EAEU, negotiations are underway at the level of presidents and heads of government to determine and approve the water, energy and food balances. We will work on it. Uzbekistan and we understand the importance of building Kambar-Ata-1. We will henceforth rationally use our water resources,» Akylbek Japarov said.

The head of the Cabinet noted that Datka — Kemin power transmission line was used by Kyrgyzstan for the first time in five years during a breakdown on the unified energy ring of Central Asia.
