Kozhoshev and Myasnikovich discuss Kyrgyzstan’s presidency over EAEU

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev met with the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

Arzybek Kozhoshev noted that participation of the republic in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) remains a priority area of ​​the country’s foreign economic policy. The country is in favor of a purposeful build-up of further meaningful cooperation within the framework of the union.

«The chairmanship in the bodies of the EAEU is transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from January 1, 2022. We are focused on the implementation of the strategic directions of the Eurasian economic integration,» he said.

Mikhail Myasnikovich, in turn, expressed his readiness to assist in the successful country’s presidency over the EAEU bodies in 2022.

«The chairmanship of the republic in the bodies of the EAEU is, of course, a responsible task. I would like this year of chairmanship to serve as an additional impetus for the development of Kyrgyzstan. We will make every effort to make it successful,» he said.

During the meeting, topical issues of interaction within the EAEU were discussed, including those related to the implementation of strategic directions within the EAEU.
