Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Baktyzhan Sagintayev and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming discussed the possibility of further cooperation. The EEC website says.
The head of the EEC Board noted the interest of the states of the Eurasian Economic Union in the development of international transport corridors, multimodal and container transportation, and digitalization of cargo transportation in the region.
To speed up the development of joint approaches, Sagintayev proposed holding in the near future a joint meeting of the ministers of transport of the SCO member countries and the Council of heads of authorized bodies in the field of transport of the EAEU states, expressing confidence that the event would attract the attention of the business community.
