President Sadyr Japarov: There are no untouchable people in Kyrgyzstan

A judicial and legal reform took place in Kyrgyzstan, within the framework of which new Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes were adopted. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov told about it, congratulating the employees of the public prosecution bodies on their professional holiday.

According to him, within the framework of the reform, the institution of investigation will again appear in the public prosecution bodies.

«Investigators of the prosecution bodies are one of the strongest specialists. Always be fair, the perpetrators must be held accountable. We have not and will not have untouchables. Each application must be considered within a set time frame. Each criminal must be held accountable under the law,» the head of state said.

He added that he considers it correct to eliminate the concept of a plea bargain.

«The possibility of plea bargain was excluded. One person will enter the plea bargain, give false testimony against the other, and the latter will be held accountable. Human rights are respected in the development of new codes. These codes are the most convenient for both prosecutors and authorities. My term will pass, and you will also retire. So let’s start everything from scratch and work for the good of the country and society!» Sadyr Japarov said.
