Elections 2021: Candidate from Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan suspected of bribery

Coordination response group received information from a candidate for deputy of the Parliament from Bagyt political party about violation of electoral legislation by another candidate from Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan political party Gulsharkan Kultaeva.

The statement says that Gulsharkan Kultaeva is engaged in charity and bribery in Aksy village, Jalal-Abad region: she donates sports equipment.

The information was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for verification.

Elections are scheduled for November 28 in Kyrgyzstan. At least 54 deputies of the Parliament are elected according to a proportional system (from open lists of candidates of political parties) in single electoral districts, 36 deputies are elected according to the majoritarian system in single-mandate constituencies.
