Student from Kyrgyzstan wins medal at Olympiad in England

Dayan Melisov, a pupil of the 11th grade of Manas ata Talas Lyceum, as part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan, won a silver medal at the 28th International Biology Olympiad 2017. Press service of the Ministry of Education reported.

According to it, schoolchildren from Naryn and Tokmak lyceums also took part in IBO 2017 as a part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan.

The Olympiad was held on July 23–30, 2017 in the city of Coventry, England. 260 students from 67 countries of the world took part in it.

The International Biology Olympiad takes place every year for 28 years already. Participants are offered two series of tasks, theoretical and practical ones, according to the results of which their place in the general rating is determined. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded on the results.

The prize-winning place is the highest achievement for schoolchildren who have chosen biology as a profile discipline. This site provides an opportunity to enroll in the most prestigious universities in the world.
