Sadyr Japarov's wife plans to hold protest

«I did not get permission from the State National Security Committee to meet my husband," Aigul, the wife of ex-deputy Sadyr Japarov, told at a press conference in 24.kg news agency and noted that she was going to hold a protest.

According to her, she applied in writing to the State National Security Committee and the State Penitentiary Service twice. However, there is still no answer.

I will go to the White House with a demand to ensure safety for my husband and provide a date with him. There is not any politics in my actions.

The day before, Sadyr Japarov’s lawyers appealed to the head of the correctional facility with a request to strengthen the protection of their client, as, according to their information, there is a threat to his life.

Sadyr Japarov was found on the floor of a cell in detention center-1, where he was kept since March 25, with cuts on his hand and neck, he was transferred to the prison infirmary. According to him, he injured himself.

Recall, Sadyr Japarov recently resided in Cyprus. Upon his arrival, he was detained right on the border with Kazakhstan and taken to the State National Security Committee for interrogation in the criminal case about taking Emilbek Kaptagaev hostage in 2013.
