Member of extremist organization detained in Kyrgyzstan

GKNB of Kyrgyzstan detained a member of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, the press service of the committee reported.

It is noted that on March 20, during actions to stop the subversive activities of the extremist underground Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an active functionary of an extremist cell, a 35-year-old native of Karakol was detained.

Prohibited extremist religious literature and electronic media, which contained materials of an extremist nature and documents addressed to a foreign citizen were confiscated.

At present, the detainee was taken into custody.
