The Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan is looking for land and an investor to recreate the ancient city of Balasagun. The Culture Minister Altynbek Maksutov announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, the Ministry of Culture, together with the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in Chui region, is looking for 10 hectares of land to recreate the ancient city.
«We have developed a 3D project of Balasagun city. It turned out to be more beautiful than Samarkand and Bukhara. We are solving the issue of the land and finances,» Altynbek Maksutov said.
He added that the ministry is working with China to create a historical and tourist center named after the Chinese poet Li Bo (Li Bai) in Tokmak city.
