Funds for the construction of two hydropower plants are provided in the draft republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 and the planning period of 2026-2027. The press service of the Ministry of Finance reported.
According to it, 2,146 billion soms will be allocated for the construction of Orto-Tokoi small hydropower plant (HPP) in 2026. In turn, 1,567 billion soms are planned to be allocated for the construction of Kambarata HPP next year. In total, this is 3,007 billion soms, or $44 million.
These projects are part of the state program for the development of energy infrastructure and are aimed at increasing electricity production in the country.
