The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev announced the salaries of doctors after the increase at a press conference.
He recalled that the presidential decree provides for an increase in salaries of doctors in four stages: in April and July 2021, as well as in July and September 2024.
«Over the course of four years, the salaries of many medical workers have increased from 10,000 to 30,000 soms. Since September, for example, the salary of pediatricians, who have compensation, has increased by 20,000 soms since July 1, the salary of anesthesiologists-resuscitators — up to 60,000-75,000 soms,» he said.
The minister added that the ministry managed to resolve the issue of personnel shortages in the regions through additional compensation. In addition to pediatricians and anesthesiologists-resuscitators, he also named general surgeons and neonatologists.
«We also increased the number of participants of Young Doctor’s Deposit program from 200 to 500 people and increased the amount of quarterly payments to 66,000 soms. In this way, we automatically close the personnel deficit in the regions. In addition, resident medical practitioners and young surgeons were sent to the regions where they were needed. Now residents and interns will receive a stipend of 20,000 soms,» he added.
