At least 2,799 applications for Digital Nomad status were submitted from September 29, 2022 to February 10, 2023. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
The status was assigned to 1,049 people. Applications of 207 people have been annulled, two applications were confirmed by the State Committee for National Security are awaiting a final decision. Another application is under consideration by the Ministry of Labor and 12 — by the State Committee for National Security.
«22 holders of the Digital Nomad status have registered as individual entrepreneurs at the Entrepreneur Service Center in Bishkek,» the ministry said.
In order to create a favorable environment for the relocation of IT specialists in Kyrgyzstan, an online portal has been launched for issuing the Digital Nomad status to citizens of the EAEU countries, as well as Azerbaijan and Moldova.
