Principal of Bishkek school No. 61 Yury Nizovsky was placed under house arrest. Lawyer Ikramidin Aitkulov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
«Yuri Nizovsky was placed under house arrest. I believe that the detention of the director of the educational institution was unreasonable. There was no need and sufficient reason for this,» Ikramidin Aitkulov said.
Recall, the director of the school No. 61 Yuri Nizovsky was detained by the State Committee for National Security. According to the state committee, a criminal case was initiated against him on the fact of corruption.
According to the presidential decree, principals of 966 schools must be replaced by the beginning of the new academic year, since they have been in office for more than five years. Director of the school No. 61 Yuri Nizovsky refused to participate in the competition, considering this process humiliating.
Earlier, members of the Public Movement of Parents for Protection of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic staged a protest. About 40 people with banners in their hands gathered near the building of the Ministry of Education and Science.
