Another mudflow occurs in Boom gorge near Kok-Moinok village

Another mudflow occurred in Boom gorge. A traffic jam formed at the exit from the gorge. Eyewitness informed 24.kg news agency.

«A traffic jam formed in about three kilometers from the turn to Naryn region. There is a lot of dirt, water and stones on the road. Consequences of the mudflow have not yet been removed. It started raining again and the road began to fill with water. The drain system is not working,» he wrote.

The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Roads confirmed the information and told that the mudflow descended near Kok-Moinok village, on the 140-141st kilometer of Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart road.

«The head of U-32 went to the place to clarify the circumstances. No other mudflows occurred in Kemin district. Consequences of Saturday’s emergency are being cleared now,» the ministry informed.

Readers of 24.kg news agency send new videos shot today in the gorge on the way to Issyk-Kul.

Videos were also posted on social media and instant messengers.

Recall, mudflow occurred in the gorge due to heavy rainfall on July 30. Traffic has been completely stopped. Employees of the departments of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Emergency Situations worked in emergency mode.
