The number of children attending preschool organizations increased from 174,000 in 2016 to 196,000 in 2020, or by 13 percent. Results of a study conducted by the National Statistical Committee say.
According to it, a similar trend was observed both in urban settlements and in rural areas.
As a result of measures taken for development of infrastructure, the number of kindergartens has been steadily increasing in recent years. At least 1,648 organizations provided services in the field of preschool education in 2020, this number increased 1.3 times compared to 2016.
At the same time, the coverage of children with preschool education in urban settlements in 2020 reached 29.1 percent, in rural areas — 20.2 percent.
