President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the leader of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Press service of the head of state reported.
The parties discussed issues of activation of Kyrgyz-Tatar cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan and Russia have a special relationship based on alliance and strategic partnership. The Kyrgyz Republic is aimed at their all-round strengthening and development, including within the framework of active interregional interaction. In the context of these relations, Tatarstan takes one of the key places, and the Kyrgyz side intends to build them up for the benefit of the prosperity of the two fraternal peoples.
The President stated that a high dynamics of bilateral contacts at all levels of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan is observed this year. He cited the Kyrgyz-Tatar business forums held in Kazan in April and in Bishkek in August as an example, in which representative business missions of the two parties took part. At the same time, he noted that the third Kyrgyz-Tatar business forum for a year is held these days as part of the visit of the leader of Tatarstan to Kyrgyzstan.
«It is gratifying to note the decision to open a branch of the Kazan Federal University in the Kyrgyz Republic,» Sadyr Japarov said, thanking Rustam Minnikhanov for his contribution and personal support in this matter.
The head of state proposed to consider the possibility of investing in energy and mining projects by Tatarstan’s companies.
Sadyr Japarov expressed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in expanding industrial cooperation, sharing experience in the field of digitalization, ecology, as well as in other areas of cooperation. He noted with satisfaction the completed coordination of the action plan for 2021-2023 on the implementation of the agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan on trade, economic, scientific, technical and social and humanitarian partnership dated December 15, 2017. He expressed confidence that signing of this document would give an additional impetus to bilateral cooperation.
Touching upon the issues of deepening interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, the President proposed to consider a number of initiatives of the Kyrgyz side, including the installation of a monument to the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov in Kazan.
In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov said that intensification of bilateral contacts has been recently registered. Tatarstan is ready to explore new opportunities for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, actively developing trade and economic interaction, as well as in the areas of digitalization and tourism.
According to him, Tatarstan is always open for partnership and for new projects. The leader of Tatarstan also expressed confidence that the activation of multifaceted cooperation will positively influence the development of bilateral relations in general.
In addition, he stressed that Chingiz Aitmatov is a person of a planetary scale and it will be a great honor to erect a monument to the writer.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed hope that the agreements reached would serve for further constructive dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan.
