Elections 2021: CEC of Kyrgyzstan invites international observers

The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) sent invitations to the elections of deputies of the Parliament, scheduled for November 28, to international observers.

According to the CEC, invitations were sent to the CIS Executive Committee, SCO, OSCE ODIHR, the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, the World, Asian and European Associations of Electoral Bodies, and election commissions of foreign states.

The President, Parliament and the Cabinet of Ministers can also invite observers. The Parliament, for example, can invite the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, and the TURKPA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs can invite the diplomatic corps accredited in the Kyrgyz Republic, including those with a residence in other countries.

Recall, 333 international observers arrived in Kyrgyzstan to monitor the early presidential elections on January 10, 2021.

Elections are scheduled for November 28 in Kyrgyzstan. At least 54 deputies of the Parliament are elected according to a proportional system (from open lists of candidates of political parties) in single electoral districts, 36 deputies are elected according to the majoritarian system in single-mandate constituencies.
