The parliamentary faction Respublika-Ata Jurt gathered yesterday evening for an extraordinary closed meeting. Own sources in the Parliament informed 24.kg news agency.
According to them, only one question is on the agenda — the change of the leader. Recall, Ruslan Kazakbaev, who was elected in December 2017 by a majority vote, is an incumbent leader of the faction.
According to the sources, two candidates — Kurmankul Zulushev and Zhyrgalbek Turuskulov- claim for the post of the faction head.
Ruslan Kazakbaev himself does not plan to leave the leader’s post. The faction can not get a quorum for voting.
Ruslan Kazakbaev replaced Omurbek Babanov as leader of the faction after the latter fled the country.
