Aripov: We will remove barriers hindering cooperation between KR and Uzbekistan

We will remove all barriers that hinder mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov said at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on two-way cooperation, delimitation and demarcation of borders.

According to him, since 2016 bilateral relations between the two countries have noticeably revived in all key areas, which became possible thanks to the constant contacts of the heads of state.

As he noted, the resumption of work after an eight-year break is a good opportunity to analyze the state of bilateral relations and develop practical measures to expand cooperation.

Touching upon trade and economic relations, Abdulla Aripov noted that Uzbekistan adopted a strategy for 2017-2021, which provides for cardinal measures to ensure economic growth, its liberalization and increase of competitiveness.

«A number of high-tech industries in the automotive, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, consumer electronics industries have been established in the country. Agricultural machinery, electrical engineering, chemical, textile industry completely modernized on the basis of advanced foreign technologies. We hope that our Kyrgyz colleagues have the same successes,» Abdulla Aripov said.
