Most common cause of fires in Kyrgyzstan - careless handling of fire

The most common cause of fires in Kyrgyzstan is the careless handling of fire. The Agency of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the main causes of fires are careless handling of fire (39.3 percent), violation of the rules for the operation of electrical equipment (31.7), heating stoves and chimneys (9.2) and children’s misbehavior (7).

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 1,852 fires in the country, in which 39 people, including a child, died. Most of the fires occurred in Chui region (553), where 16 people were killed, and Bishkek city (360), followed by Osh (181), Jalal-Abad (206) and Issyk-Kul regions (184).
