Today, the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan adopted, despite the controversy, in the third reading the amendments to the law «On Veterinary Medicine» and the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
It should be noted that the initiators propose to give the right to conduct private veterinary practice only to those specialists who have been included in the register of the Veterinary Chamber. At the same time, work without registration is punishable by an administrative fine.
Earlier, the deputies opposed the bill, noting that the government transfers its powers into private hands.
As of today, there are more than 2,100 private veterinarians and 1,200 state veterinarians in the republic.
The bill will be sent to the President for signature.
