Georgian PM greets Kyrgyz soldiers with words “Salam, asker!”

An official welcoming ceremony for President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze took place today, June 12, in Bishkek.

The solemn event was held in front of Yntymak Ordo building. State flags of both countries were raised at the venue, an honor guard was lined up, and ethno-warriors also took part in the ceremony.

After the mutual greetings, Sadyr Japarov and Irakli Kobakhidze received the report of the commander of the honor guard company. A military orchestra then performed the national anthems of Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.

The Georgian Prime Minister also greeted the honor guard soldiers in the Kyrgyz language, saying «Salam, asker!»

Following the inspection of the formation, the sides introduced members of their official delegations to each other.

Following the ceremony, Sadyr Japarov and Irakli Kobakhidze posed for a photo and headed to the negotiating room to discuss bilateral cooperation issues.
