Kyrgyzstan and Georgia resume Intergovernmental Commission work after 10 years

The second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Bishkek, marking the resumption of its activities after a ten-year hiatus. The Ministry of Economy reported.

The parties noted the significant potential for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia in trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agro-industrial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in foreign policy, trade, investment, agriculture, transport, logistics, and other areas of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, a protocol was signed for the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission, outlining a set of practical measures for the further development of bilateral partnership.

The parties confirmed their interest in holding regular commission meetings and expressed confidence that the implementation of the agreements reached will contribute to the growth of mutual trade, increased investment, expansion of joint projects, and the further strengthening of friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.
