Kyrgyzstan and Georgia sign agreements on aviation and trade

Following talks between President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, a package of bilateral documents was signed, covering a large number of areas from aviation and customs cooperation to education, sports, and the legal sphere.

A joint statement at the highest level confirmed the parties’ intention to take the partnership between the two countries to a new level.

According to the presidential press service, the signed documents include:

• Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the aviation authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and Georgia;
• Memorandum of Cooperation in State Property Management between the State Property Management Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Property Agency of Georgia;
• Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Veterinary Medicine between the Veterinary Service, Livestock, Pasture and Forage Development under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Food Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia;
• Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2027-2028;
• Memorandum of Understanding between the State Regulatory Authority for Environmental Protection and Safety under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision and the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Georgia on Cooperation and Information Exchange on Radiation Protection, Nuclear Safety and Security;
• Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Education between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia;
• Agreement between the State Customs Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia on the Organization of Preliminary Exchange of Information on Goods and Vehicles Transported between the Two Countries;
• Agreement between the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Sport of Georgia on Cooperation in Physical Culture and Sports;
• Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Legal Sphere between the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

According to the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, the signed documents create the basis for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
