President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov spoke at the Republican Youth Forum Kiyalymdagy Kyrgyzstan, held in Bishkek. The press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov remembered that he had already spoken at the Youth Forum in 2021. Then he was a presidential candidate. He called getting rid of political corruption the main achievement after the event.
«In three years, we returned Kumtor, increased the budget revenue almost 2.5 times, introduced strict control of the customs system, and exposed the mafia. When I was elected head of state, this mafia believed that everything would remain the same and they would continue to rob the republic with even greater enthusiasm than before. Many of our liberals, urban youth and much of the international community thought so too. Only ordinary people believed and supported us. And, of course, we could not deprive them of faith and hope, we did not sell them. I have decided long ago that I should work for the people,» the head of state said.
He stressed that the record amount of public debt is being reliably paid now. Wages, pensions, and benefits were increased several times. The army has been strengthened, new equipment has been purchased for almost all sectors of the economy.
When people brought me to power, I never imagined that our country was in such a deep crisis.

«Our team will need so much time to restore the basic functions of the state! As soon as the world saw that order had been restored in Kyrgyzstan and the state had become stronger, the flow of serious investors increased several times,» he said.
The President called on young people to focus on three areas:
- Rapid deepening of new knowledge, innovations and technologies;
- Strengthening national unity and solidarity;
- Duty to take care of the beautiful nature.
«We must strive to build an economy of knowledge; it is important to invest in ourselves and our education. The people should not be divided according to regional, national characteristics and social status. You are all the youth of Kyrgyzstan. Let’s unite to build the country of our dreams. Unfortunately, we all need to adapt to global climate change. We need to reconsider our habits and values. Saving water and electricity, switching to modern technologies and, of course, protecting our unique flora and fauna should become the habits of young people of the new time,» Sadyr Japarov stressed.
He assured the youth that he would strengthen support for the education and training system. Particular attention is paid to ensuring youth employment in new sectors of the economy. A separate state program to support young entrepreneurs will be developed. Opportunities for youth participation in decision-making and policy-making at national and local levels will be enhanced.
