Three organizers of an illegal migration channel were detained in Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. The website of the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic transported 20 South Asian citizens from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan, bypassing the state border checkpoints.
The press service added that cases of illegal crossing of the state border by citizens of South Asia (Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka) on the part of the Kyrgyz Republic have become more frequent over the past six months.
A criminal case was opened. An investigation is underway.
