Increase in incidence of vaccine-preventable infections registered in Kyrgyzstan

An increase in the incidence of vaccine-preventable infections is registered in Kyrgyzstan. The review of infectious and parasitic diseases incidence of the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance for January-September says.

According to it, the incidence of parotitis has increased three times compared to the same period last year. At least 142 cases were registered (in 2021 — 48). Some 34 cases of pertussis were detected — almost five times more than in 2021 (5 cases).

The number of measles cases decreased. Only one was registered. Three cases were registered in 2021. No cases of rubella have been reported.
