Rally at Russian Embassy: Police detain three protesters

Police officers detained three participants of a protest that took place near the building of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. Attorney Bakyt Avtandil told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, three men, including activist Ondurush Toktonasyrov, held one-man protests. They do not know each other and are not related to each other.

«In addition to Ondurush Toktonasyrov, police officers detained Omurbek Kangeldiev, a native of Batken region. He wanted to congratulate Vladimir Putin on his birthday, despite the fact that the head of the Russian Federation awarded the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Kyrgyz people perceived this with indignation. The third detainee is a Russian citizen Vladimir Kaidanovich. He held a banner with the inscription «No war! Putin, go away. He is also being interrogated,» the attorney said.
