A forensic psychiatric examination of the suspect in the murder of 9-year-old Sumaya Khosilzhanova was scheduled. The Department of Internal Affairs of Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
The suspect did not admit his guilt during interrogation.
«It was established during investigation that the man had previously received treatment in the neuropsychiatric department of the Jalal-Abad Regional Hospital. Based on this, a forensic psychiatric examination was scheduled. The man will undergo the examination at the Kyzyl-Zhar psychiatric clinic,» the police department said.
Nine-year-old Sumaya Khosilzhanova went missing on November 18. Volunteers, police officers and local residents were involved in the search. Nine days later, the girl’s body was found in a water canal. A criminal case was initiated under the article «Murder» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The 48-year-old resident of Suzak district was detained on suspicion of murder.
