Price of coal grows by 715 soms for a year in Kyrgyzstan

Consumer prices for coal as of October 7, 2021, compared to October last year, increased by 715.8 soms, or 16.1 percent on average in the republic. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.

The minimum retail prices were registered in Chaek village (2,500 soms), Balykchi (4,000 soms) and Toktogul (4,373.2 soms) cities. At the same time, the highest prices for coal were registered in Nookat (8,390.2 soms), Batken (8,377.7 soms) and Isfana (6,500 soms) cities.

The highest increase in coal prices compared to October last year was observed in Kerben — by 2,603.1 soms, or 1.7 times, Jalal-Abad — by 1,652.1 soms, or 34.7 percent, Naryn — by 1,000 soms, or by 28.6 percent and Batken — by 1,739.6 soms, or 26.2 percent. The price decreased by 61.8 soms per ton, or 1.1 percent, in Talas.
