Worker dies at Jamgyr gold mine

A worker died at Jamgyr gold mine in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region. The State Inspectorate for Technical and Ecological Safety informed 24.kg news agency.

The incident occurred on April 9 at about 9.00 pm. Rock collapsed in the stope. As a result, 40-year-old resident of Chatkal district died.

Commission for the investigation of the accident was formed. Inspectors of the State Inspectorate for Ecological and Technical Safety intend to leave for the scene of accident.

The mine is being developed by Vertex Gold, co-founded by Vertex Holding of Kazakhstan.
