Following inspections last week, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan imposed fines on several financial market participants, suspended the license of one exchange bureau, and revoked the registration certificate of a microcredit company.
According to the National Bank, fines for violating Kyrgyz legislation and regulations were imposed on one payment institution in Bishkek, one microcredit agency in Issyk-Kul region, and two exchange bureaus in Osh region.
Additionally, two individuals were fined in Bishkek for exchanging foreign currency in cash without a license. Each was fined 17,500 soms.
The license of the exchange bureau, Barakat Finance LLC, was also suspended. The restriction will be in effect from June 27 to July 11, 2026, inclusive. The exchange office is located in Osh at 428, Alymbek Datka Street.
Furthermore, according to the National Bank, the registration certificate of Bay-El Credit LLC was revoked on June 18, 2026 for violating National Bank regulations. The company is registered in Bishkek at 242, Toktogul Street.
