European regulatory authorities have added three Kyrgyz companies to the specialized electronic system TRACES (Trade Control and Expert System), officially recognizing the country’s right to export honey to the European Union, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reported.
According to the ministry, the achievement became possible due to consistent efforts to bring Kyrgyzstan’s national veterinary control system in line with the strict requirements of the European Union.
Integration into the European database guarantees full product traceability, proper veterinary certification, and comprehensive monitoring of compliance with sanitary standards, the ministry emphasized.
«The opening of the highly competitive European market will create incentives for the development of the domestic beekeeping industry. This will help increase production volumes and promote Kyrgyzstan’s organic products internationally,» the ministry said.
The ministry added that it will continue supporting local producers in entering new foreign markets.
As previously reported, exports of Kyrgyz honey increased by 78 tons in the first quarter of 2026. A total of 152.8 tons of honey worth 37.3 million soms were exported abroad.
