The prize fund of the World Nomad Games will exceed 61 million soms. Ulukbek Omurbekov, head of the Directorate for National Sports, said.
He specified that 61.3 million soms have been allocated for the prize fund of the upcoming sixth Games.
A total of 336 million soms has been allocated from the state budget for the organization and holding of the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026.
According to Ulukbek Omurbekov, the budget for the sports component has been set at 334.2 million soms. The amount includes expenses for accommodation and meals for participants, sports uniforms and equipment, athlete training, qualifying tournaments, and training camps.
The VI World Nomad Games will be held under the slogan «Unity of Strength! Unity of Spirit!» The program includes 43 sports disciplines, including 20 national sports.
The World Nomad Games are held once every two years. The sixth Games will be hosted in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6. More than 3,000 athletes from over 100 countries are expected to participate in traditional wrestling competitions, horse races, and archery events.
The first World Nomad Games were held in 2014.
