916 million soms to be allocated for construction of Three Peaks ski cluster

At least 916 million soms will be allocated for the construction of Three Peaks ski cluster in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan in 2025. The draft state budget for next year says.

In August 2024, the new Three Peaks ski project was presented to the head of state. During the working meeting, the General Director of the French company S3V (Société des 3 Vallees) Pascal de Thiersant, told that Three Peaks cluster could become the largest ski resort in Central Asia. The project covers three mountain peaks in Issyk-Kul region: Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak and Boz-Uchuk. According to the plan, ski trails with a total length of about 200 kilometers will be built in these places.

It is expected that 4,800 jobs will be created after implementation of the project. Tax deductions will amount to €146 million. The resorts will operate ten months a year, and up to 850,000 tourists will be able to visit them.
