The spokesman for the Russian President announced an informal summit of the CIS leaders on the eve of Victory Day.
The informal CIS summit is planned to be held in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed.
According to him, the informal meeting of the CIS timed to the Victory Day is expected, as well as other bilateral contacts. At the same time, the spokesman for the Russian leader noted that it was not planned to invite the heads of unfriendly countries to the Victory Parade.
«It will be a very, very impressive list. But first of all, of course, it will be the CIS,» he noted.
The 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be celebrated on May 9, 2025.
