Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev got acquainted with the activities of enterprises in the textile industry in Aksu, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Bakyt Torobaev met with the General Director of the textile company Huafu, Lu Li, and offered to send the company’s leading specialists in the selection, installation, use of modern advanced equipment and introduction of new technologies to Kyrgyzstan to exchange experience.
Lu Li expressed interest in cooperation with the country and willingness to exchange experience.
Then Bakyt Torobaev looked at the work of the textile company Jiatai. He noted that cotton is produced in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions, and proposed building a fiber processing plant.
Jiatai Chairman Yao Ruipeng said he supported the proposal and was willing to build a processing plant if the raw materials and infrastructure were appropriate.
The official also met with Cheng Shihua, general director of Uoulian textile company, which is engaged in dyeing fabrics.
The parties discussed the possibility of exporting fabric to the Kyrgyz Republic in large volumes. Bakyt Torobaev noted that Kyrgyzstan has a developed garment industry, which employs 200,000 people. The parties considered the possibility of organizing direct purchase of fabric by entrepreneurs without intermediaries.
