Fires in Boom gorge cause damage of more than 10 million soms

Fires that broke out in Boom gorge caused damage of more than 10 million soms. The Forest Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.

«A fire was registered in five areas of Kok-Moinok forestry of Balykchy forestry enterprise on March 24 at 12.30 p.m., which was extinguished at 6 p.m. Another fire broke out on March 25, which was extinguished at 3 p.m. One more fire broke out on May 7 at 1.30 p.m. in Kok-Moinok forestry, which was extinguished at 6 p.m. The total fire area was 42 hectares. The damage caused is estimated at 10,648,260 soms,» the service reported.

According to the department, all the collected materials were sent to the Ton District Department of Internal Affairs to establish causes of the fire, find the perpetrators and compensate for the damage.
