Electronics manufacturer from Chelyabinsk wins tender for Osh airport renovation

An electronics manufacturer from Chelyabinsk won a tender for technical re-equipment of Osh airport. Business Quarter portal reports.

According to it, a new landing system will appear at the airport by the end of September.

The Chelyabinsk Research and Production Association Radio Engineering Systems has signed an agreement with the main aviation enterprise of Kyrgyzstan — Manas International Airport to equip the airfield in the city of Osh — the second largest in the country.

The contract provides for the design, construction and supply of the complex of instrument landing system ILS 734.

According to Alexander Dolmatov, General Director of Radio Engineering Systems, the work in Osh will be carried out in accordance with the third category of ICAO, which will allow aircraft to land accurately and safely in almost zero visibility.

«Back in 2016, we completed a large, technically complex project to equip two directions of Tamchy airfield, which was then under construction, on the magnificently beautiful high-mountain Issyk-Kul lake. The current project is a logical continuation of our cooperation. Of course, it is built primarily on the professionalism of our employees and the quality of equipment. No matter how it is, conclusion of any contract is preceded by a complex selection procedure, tender procedures. We have once again confirmed our capabilities, and now we have a difficult but very interesting job ahead. The Chelyabinsk enterprise will have to produce, deliver to Kyrgyzstan and set up equipment by the end of September simultaneously doing design and construction work. The cost of the contract with the enterprise was just under $1.5 million,» he said.
