President Sadyr Japarov wrote the text of the speech, delivered at the General Debate of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, himself. He said it in an interview with Kabar news agency.
«I wrote the speech myself. I added important points on the way to the USA. Speechwriters did not participate in meetings where issues of solving border problems were discussed. They do not have a complete picture of events, and they prepare texts only for events that are held within the country. But still, I correct and supplement most of the points myself. I myself had to write every word of the speech I delivered at the UN. Because the tribune of an international organization is not a joke. In addition, this is not a simple, but a serious issue,» Sadyr Japarov said.
On September 20, the head of state, addressing the delegates of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, told about the invasion of Tajikistan into the territory of sovereign, independent Kyrgyzstan.
Emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region. Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. The Ministry of Health reported 198 victims, 59 people were killed. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts, as well as Dzhekendi village in Chon-Alai district of Osh region, left their homes.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan opened a criminal case on crimes against peace.
