Bishkek City Hall to increase funding for meals in kindergartens, schools

Bishkek City Hall will increase funding for meals in kindergartens and schools. The draft budget of the capital of Kyrgyzstan for 2022 says. The document was posted on the website of the Bishkek City Council for public discussion.

As the draft budget says, the following standards for nutrition per day at the expense of the local budget are established:

In pre-school educational institutions, where half of the cost is paid by the municipality, the second — by parents:

  • For children under the age of three — 50 soms;
  • For children at the age of 3-7 — 60 soms;
  • For children with mental and physical handicaps — 120 soms;
  • For children in groups with round-the-clock stay — 120 soms;
  • In kindergartens for children with tuberculosis — 150 soms;

In general education organizations:

  • For orphans and children from low-income families in grades 5-7 — 22 soms;
  • For children in 1- 4 grades — 22 soms;
  • For children with mental and physical developmental defects — 36 soms;
  • In the Center for Social Adaptation of Children, the Reintegration Center for Minors Aidanek and boarding groups in the secondary school — boarding school No. 71 and boarding school No.1 — 220 soms.

Earlier, the Vice Mayor of the capital Victoria Mozgacheva noted that the cost of food in kindergartens has not been revised since 2011.

Budget for 2022 is projected at 11,690,016,700 soms.
