The Foreign Ministry of Russia issued a statement on the results of the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan.
The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation emphasizes that the absolute majority of international observers, including those in the CIS monitoring mission, note that the voting was free, open and held in accordance with the national legislation of the country.
The Kyrgyz side received comprehensive assistance in organizing the voting of citizens of the republic on the territory of the Russian Federation: 21 polling stations were opened in 16 regions, in particular, six polling stations were opened in Moscow.
«We are confident that the results of the expression of the will of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic will contribute to strengthening of internal stability, as well as the democratic development of this country under the rule of law, the progressive growth of its economy and the welfare of the nation. We hope that the new composition of the Kyrgyz parliament will continue the course of strategic alliance with the Russian Federation, deepening integration processes in the Eurasian space and building up joint efforts in the interests of peace and security in Central Asia,» the Foreign Ministry said in the statement.
Elections of deputies of the seventh convocation of the Parliament have been held in Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, six parties get into the Parliament. Winners in single-seat constituencies were also announced. The votes are being counted manually.
