An investigation into the illegal sale of land in the border areas of Batken region will begin after the elections. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in an interview with the Regional Media Center of Batken.
Answering the question why there are no representatives of Batken region among the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President said that he is their minister and president.
«If there is a minister from Batken, will he necessarily make the region prosperous? For example, if there were 30 ministers and 30 deputies for 30 years, why then they did not develop the region rapidly? On the contrary, having sold land, they left the region undeveloped. Because of their deeds, we are trying to return these lands now. Residents of Batken, do not be upset that there is no minister and few deputies from your region. Kyrgyzstan starts from Batken. If the border is not protected, there will be no security in the country. We pay attention first to security, to the growth of the well-being of citizens, to the country’s economy. I am your minister, I am your deputy, and I am your president,» Sadyr Japarov said.
