KOICA and activists intend to reduce waste at landfills through sorting

KOICA and civil activists of Kyrgyzstan intend to reduce waste at landfills through sorting.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office and Tazar Mekenim Public Association signed a grant agreement on the project «Waste Recycling in Kyrgyzstan: Sustainable Awareness Raising and Waste Reduction in Bishkek».

The project aims to promote a clean and sustainable environment by reducing waste in landfills through increased waste sorting and recycling. The activists also intend to continue their work, which aims to raise public awareness of waste management.

This is a pilot project and will be the first time, when KOICA office in the Kyrgyz Republic will directly cooperate with local civil society activists.
