Export of new passenger cars from Kyrgyzstan to Russia in July 2024 doubled compared to the first month of summer. Analytical agency Autostat provided the data.
About 890 new passenger cars were imported from Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation in July and 416 vehicles — in June.
Compared to July 2023, export of new cars from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation decreased by 81.8 percent.
Earlier it was reported that in January-March 2024, import of passenger cars from abroad to Kyrgyzstan increased every month and reached a peak in the first month of spring, when 22,600 vehicles were imported to the republic.
Deliveries have been declining since April and fell in May to a minimum since the beginning of the year — 6,600 vehicles.
In June, the growth of passenger car imports resumed — 7,400 cars were imported.
In total, 71,300 passenger cars were imported to Kyrgyzstan in the first half of the year. This is a third more than in the same period of 2023.
Recall, the procedure for calculating payments for cars imported from the EAEU countries has changed in Russia from April 1, 2024.
