President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov had a telephone conversation with the head of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The heads of state exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Turkey is the first country that recognized independence, established diplomatic relations and opened an embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
«Turkey is a brotherly state for us, a reliable friend and a time-tested partner. Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to relations with Turkey,» he said.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that 10 years have passed since the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations were given the status of a strategic partnership. He proposed to focus mutual efforts on the implementation of the agreements reached following the meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation in June 2021.
The leader of Turkey promised to come to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the next meeting of the Council in 2022.
