Police began dispersing the rally on Ala-Too square in Bishkek. They do not use special means against the protesters. Some of them are detained.
Previously, law enforcement officers have repeatedly appealed to the protesters to stop the rally as its time was over. In addition, the protesters were asked to keep off the grass and flower beds, but they did not obey the demands of the police.
The rally is being held in Bishkek since about 11 am. Protesters put forward a number of demands, some of which relate to Chinese expansion. Representatives of the protesters were received by the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Mirlan Bakirov. The protesters voiced their demands to him.
