Bishkek City Administration plans to announce a tender for E-Ticket public-private partnership project. Head of the Transport Department of the City Administration Kuban Dzhusupov told.
According to him, the project is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2019.
«At the first stage, it will involve public transport — buses and trolley buses. It is planned to install more than 300 validators and issue from 300,000 to 600,000 smart cards for trips,» he said.
According to him, it is planned to issue cards of several categories, including preferential, school, for one-time and multiple trips.
Kuban Dzhusupov informed that so far the City Administration did not plan to increase the fare. «It is possible that the cost of one trip will change,» he noted.
By the end of 2019, it is planned to cover about 30 percent of public transport. At the second stage of the project, validators are planned to be installed in minibuses.
