Prosecutor General’s Office opens criminal case against Omurbek Tekebayev

Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case against the leader of Ata Meken Omurbek Tekebayev. The secretariat of the party informed 24.kg news agency.

Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed this information, explaining that the case was filed in the wake of the scandal around trust of MegaCom shares through offshore in Belize.

«But it is absolutely far-fetched case. Our faction, Omurbek Tekebayev in particular, has proven that all the papers, which were previously presented by the National Security Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office on Belize is a fake," the head of the secretariat of the party Taalaygul Toktakunova told.

She added that Omurbek Tekebayev would make a statement as soon as returns from abroad, where he is being treated at the time.
