The head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchybek Tashiev, said in an interview with journalists that high-ranking officials of the financial sector would be detained in the near future.
He noted that there should be no swindlers in the country who deceive the state for large sums of money.
«Such criminals are usually in the financial and banking sectors. And, I will say openly, this issue is often raised in the Ministry of Finance. We will soon detain officials, civil servants from the financial sector, who hold the money of the people in their hands, but use it for other purposes, inefficiently, for personal purposes. We will bring them to severe responsibility,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
Earlier, the head of the State Committee for National Security announced the second stage of the declared fight against corruption, grave and especially grave crimes. According to Kamchybek Tashiev, now, along with the compensation for damage caused by a corrupt official, all property owned by the accused will be seized.
